Bashkir State University celebrated Day of Knowledge

UFA, 2 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. The Bashkir State University celebrated the Day of Knowledge. The celebration was held in the courtyard of the main building of the university.

By tradition, the Rector Nikolay Morozkin was the first to make congratulations and good wishes to those present. According to him, this year's freshmen endured a great contest for enrollment (about seven people per place). He also told the students about the opportunities through active international cooperation.

The freshmen were also congratulated by the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Mardanov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Education, Science and Culture of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Liliya Gumerova and the President of the Academy of Sciences RB, corresponding member of RAE Alfis Gayazov. Rustem Mardanov wished new students to spend the next years of study most fruitfully and to use knowledge and skills gained at the university in their future successful realization as specialists. Liliya Gumerova brought to notice of the freshmen that their present and future knowledge – would be one of the main riches to remain with them forever.

Traditionally, an honoring ceremony of the first-year students, which were enrolled due to their victories in various scientific Olympiads and high scores at the Unified State Exam, was held on the Knowledge Day at Bashkir State University.
