Ufa Refinery History Museum opened in Ufa

UFA, 1 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. On September 1, opening of the Ufa Refinery History Museum took place at "Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim" branch of PJSOC Bashneft, which was visited by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov.

The museum is located in one of the premises of the plant. It contains archival photographs and materials about the history of the three Ufa refineries.

The Head of the Republic familiarized with the exposition marking that the museum had not quite enough interesting artifacts related to the pioneers of the Bashkir oil refining, as well as made a note in the book of honourable guests.

“I would like that visitors of the capital of our republic can see and understand how huge and powerful production facilities in the republic, how much effort and work were invested in it. Lives of generations were devoted to ensure the construction of these plants. And today, PJSOC Bashneft is one of the most successful oil, oil-producing plants in terms of production processes organization in the Russian Federation”, Rustem Khamitov said.

The museum has been created for about a year. The materials were collected with participation of employees and veterans of the company. According to the head of the plant archive Natalya Medvedeva, more than three thousand photographs were looked through to prepare the museum exposition; more than two thousand documents were processed.

The museum is open for all comers by previous appointment.
