More than 3.4 thousand young people became Ufa Petroleum University freshmen

UFA, 1 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. This year, 3467 young people became freshmen of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU), including 2184 students of intramural form of study.

The USPTU Rector Ramil Bakhtizin congratulated students on entering the world of studentship; the Minister of Education RB Gulnaz Shafikova congratulated them on the new academic year.

The Chairman of the Bashkir republican organization of public education and science trade unions RF Svetlana Pronina handed over a diploma of the scholarship holder to Julia Gilyazetdinova.

The Vice President for Organizational Development and HR Management of PJSOC Bashneft Vladislav Pozdyshev, the CEO LLC "Gazprom Transgaz Ufa", USPTU graduate 1980 Shamil Sharipov, the Deputy General Director of JSC "Transneft-Ural" Alexander Artemiev, the CEO "RN-Ufa R&D Institute" Radik Yanbulatov congratulated students on the Knowledge Day.

On behalf of the graduates of previous years the presenter of TV channel "Rossiya", the journalist Inga Yumasheva urged freshmen to show leadership qualities from the first days. Speeches of encouragement from the faculty and foreign students were also delivered at the meeting.

Currently, 18,220 people are enrolled at USPTU, the university representatives report.
