Disabled people from Bashkiria made car travel over Kazakhstan

UFA, 31 August 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. A group of tourists with disabilities from Ufa made a road trip to Kazakhstan. Organizers of the trip are the Russian Sports Disability Union, International Federation of Sport Tourism, the National Federation of Sport Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the V.L. Zasov Charity Foundation of Ufa. The trip was headed by the Ufa resident Alfir Akhmetshin.
More than 25 people in four cars drove about 7000 km through the cities of Kostanay, Astana, Priozersk, Kapchagay, Zharkent, Almaty, Taraz, Turkestan, Baikonur, Aktobe, Orenburg. Tourists visited the historical and archaeological complex Arkaim, Balkhash Lake, Tamlykas tract with petroglyphs, the Altyn-Emel and Charyn Canyon national parks, the Syrdarya River in the Kyzylkum desert. Travelers had excursions over various museums, visited Chimbulak rezort near Medeo, and also saw colourful mountains and a vocal dune in Altyn-Emel national park, unique mega-sculptures made of stone in Charyn canyon, museum-mosque in Zharkent, the grand A. Yasavi museum complex in Turkestan and other sights.
"This is not the first journey of the disabled Russian tourists to Kazakhstan. In 1993, a group of eight impaired people under the guidance of Alfir Ahmetshin made a multi-day trip across Kazakhstan, including river rafting. Since then disabled Russian tourists visited Altai, Baikal, the Caucasus, Karelia, Crimea, the Eastern and Western Sayan Mountains, Nether-Polar Urals", the V.L. Zasov Charity Foundation informs.
