Prime Minister called on to vote actively for Bashkir symbol on new banknotes

UFA, 26 August 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan called on to vote actively for the symbol of the republic to be appeared on new banknotes. The image of the monument to Salavat Yulaev by the sculptor Soslanbek Tavasiev in the second phase of the "Population Poll" was included in the top ten symbols-contenders for placing on the bills with face value of 2,000 rubles. On August 30, the third and the final stage begins - "Voting".

Rustem Mardanov on the air of the "Mayak-Ufa" radio station in a conversation with the presenter Ella Kurilskaya said that he considered the chances of Bashkortostan as quite good. "As a resident and a patriot of the republic, I believe that the probability is quite high. It's actually the most famous equestrian monument in the country. Also, the symbol became widely known thanks to our hockey team", said the head of the republican Cabinet. The winners of the contest organized by the Bank of Russia will be only two cities. The winners will be announced on the air of "Russia 1" TV channel on October 7.
