60 percent of Russians are not interested in tap water quality - VCIOM

UFA, 26 August 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Experts of the Russian Centre for Public Opinion Research (VCIOM) found out that 60 percent of Russians are not interested in the quality of tap water. 84 percent of respondents drink the tap water. Of these, 39 percent use it not boiled, others are taking steps to clean it up and improve: boiling, filtration, sedimentation, freezing. 16 percent of respondents report that they consume only bottled water because they do not like the taste or smell of tap water, the presence of impurities.
43 percent of respondents are confident in the quality of tap water, but do not believe that it is good for health. In their opinion only natural water has such property.
