Ufa schools and kindergartens are 99-percent ready to receive children

UFA, 23 August 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. The Ufa schools and kindergartens are 99-percent ready to receive children. By August 25 repair works in educational institutions will be fully completed. This was reported at a briefing session in the city administration by the chief of the Education Department Elena Haffazova on August 23.

According to her, 100 million rubles were allocated from the city budget for the repair of 80 buildings - 36 schools, 40 kindergartens and four additional education institutions. In addition, much attention was paid to road safety. In the preparatory period 300 traffic signs, 10 traffic lights, 100 m of pedestrian fence were established and 16 thousand sq m of road markings were striped near schools. This year almost twice as many books and toys were purchased for schools and kindergartens.

Elena Haffazova noted that 12.2 thousand pupils will start school in 2016. Total 107.1 thousand pupils from the 1st to 11th grades study at the city schools.
