Bashkiria will host Eurasian Workout Festival

UFA, 25 July 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. Ufa will once again become the Eurasian capital, this time - in the field of mass physical culture. On September 10 in front of the Congress Hall the "Eurasian Workout Festival" will be held for the first time where the world's best athletes from Russia, Great Britain, Latvia, Spain, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and other Eurasian countries will compete for the championship cup. Athletes from Bashkortostan will also participate in the championship.

"This event is aimed at popularizing mass physical culture and a healthy lifestyle among young people, as well as further development of street workout in Bashkortostan. We expect more than 30 best athletes from all over the Eurasian continent, which for the first time Bashkir athletes can compete with at mobile street workout-sites", said the Chairman of the youth sports movement "Workout Bashkortostan" Rashid Hasanov.

As part of the health holiday Ufa residents and visitors will be able to join the contest in mass push-ups record for Russia. On July 30 an attempt to collect a similar record of 2,000 participants will be held in Tyumen. Organizers of the festival in Ufa - "Workout Bashkortostan", with the support of the Government RB urge citizens to support the campaign.

"Street workout is the most accessible sport gaining popularity worldwide. It is gratifying that Ufa, being in the centre of Eurasia, will host such an important event", said the President of the International Federation of Street Workout and StreetLifting Federation Denis Minin.
