Ufa will host the Russian Road Cycling Championship in "Masters" category
UFA, 20 July 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Sergey Zakharov/. The capital of the republic will host the open Russian Road Cycling Championship among youth and veterans in the "Masters" category on July 23-24.
Total so far more than 130 athletes are registered - representatives of Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg, Penza, Rostov-on-Don, Belgorod, Kurgan, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Tver and Tyumen regions, the Republic of Crimea and other regions of Russia and Bashkortostan. Riders from Ukraine and Australia also announced their participation, the competition organizers inform.
In accordance with the provision on the competition the number of participants is not limited. All of them are divided into 11 age groups. The youngest is 19 years old, the oldest - 79.
On July 23 individual 28 km race will be held with a separate start. The lap length is 14 km.
On July 24, a mass start 40 km race (men in the categories of 60 years and older and women of all ages), and a mass start 80 km race for men under 59 years will take place. The start and finish will be in Ufa Victory Park. The length of the distance is 10 km. On the same day, an awarding ceremony of winners of the competition will be held.
The general management of the organization and conducting of the championship is carried out by the "Cycling Club "Veloterra" together with the Federation of Cycling of Bashkortostan Republic.
