Nine-month girl death in Ufa is under control - Bashkortostan Ministry of Health

UFA, 15 July 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. The case of the death of a nine-month girl in Ufa is under control. Each case of infant mortality (children under one year) is considered separately and is subject to scrutiny, the Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan reports.

"The case of the death of a nine-month girl in Ufa is under special control of both regional and federal Ministry of Health. Now the situation is analyzed not only by investigators, but also by specially created medical commission. The functional check of all stages of the specialized care rendered to the child is conducted. An appropriate objective assessment will be given later", the press secretary of the Ministry of Health RB Svetlana Kuskarbekova explained.

The nine-month girl died on July 4 in the intensive care department of the Ufa Hospital No. 17. According to her mother, the child's health deteriorated after routine vaccinations done in the district hospital on June 29.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, now Investigative Committee staff establishes all the circumstances of the incident and the cause of the death. A procedural decision will be made following its results, including the criminal assessment of the medical personnel activity.
