Competitive stage of Silk Road International Rally is held in Bashkiria

UFA, 11 July 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. In Uchaly region of Bashkortostan participants of the Silk Road International Rally take a leg of the third competitive stage. It is 4.2 km long and goes close to the Pervomay village.

The third competitive stage of the rally launched today, July 11, in the Chelyabinsk region. It is of 800 km length. Participants will take it today and finish in Kazakhstan, Kostanay. Thereby the Russian stage of the rally completes.

The Silk Road International Rally, according to experts, is the second largest after the legendary Dakar. Competitions were held for the first time in September 2009 in the territory of Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. The rally got its name in order to emphasize the Eurasian route of the race and its relation to the role of the countries and regions of the Silk Road. This year, the competition participants were 130 crews from 41 countries.
