Shulgan-Tash historical complex with famous cave copy will appear in Bashkiria by 2020

UFA, 22 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The "Shulgan-Tash" historical and cultural complex with a copy of the famous Bashkir karst cave will appear in the republic by 2020. The museum project was presented at a press conference at Bashinform News Agency dedicated to the upcoming 2nd International Symposium "Problems of Preservation, Conservation of Shulgan-Tash Paleolithic Cave Paintings and Tourism Infrastructure Development of "Ural-Batyr Land". The Scientific Forum will take place in the "Shulgan-Tash" reserve museum in Burzyan region on June 23-24.

The project was developed within the framework of the preparation for inclusion of the Shulgan-Tash rock art caves in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Museum meets the established international approach to the study, preservation and promotion of ancient Paleolithic cave paintings. Currently, there are several museums of cave paintings: Lascaux, Chauvet, Rouffignac, Arcy-sur-Cure in France and Altamira in Spain.

According to the developed project, the "Shulgan-Tash" historical and cultural complex will be located in an area of 3.5 thousand hectares. The exposition section is a single space with the main exhibit as a copy of the cave cavities in the scale of 1: 100.

In the museum some parts of the cave walls from the chaos hall, halls of paintings of western, eastern walls will be presented.

Tourists will be able to see the local national culture in all kinds. Here a wild-hive beekeeping museum will be presented, the nearby houses will become ethnographic courtyards, a 500-700 seats amphitheatre with a covered stage for festivals will be located behind the complex.

This project will generate new scientific and tourism cluster of the European level. It is planned to increase the flow of tourists from 35 thousand to 350 thousand per year.

The project will start in 2017, the complex is planned to be built within two years, the project cost is 350 million rubles, it will be financed from the republican budget.
