"Art Park" for family recreation may appear in Ufa

UFA, 21 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. In Ufa, an "Art Park" for family recreation may appear. On June 21, at a briefing session in the City Hall the Director of the Contemporary Art Centre "Oblaka" Valerian Gagin introduced an urban space development project.

It is supposed to renovate an abandoned Kalinin Park in Ufa, to make it an attractive place for rest and creative development of citizens. The project provides cross-country and cycling lanes, lawns, parking areas, outdoor performance stage, campuses, an ice rink, business, sports and creative centres, cafes and restaurants.

The task is to make an architectural plan, to prepare necessary land planning documents. The Ufa administration and public approvals are obtained. The head of the centre has offered the citizens to participate in the project both financially and "with ideas".

The mayor's office representatives note that it is necessary to accomplish a number of Ufa parks: for five years - no less than 20 projects.
