Airport runway reconstruction is completed at Ufa Airport

UFA, 21 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. A reconstruction of the runway is completed at Ufa Airport. Commissioning and start-up on lighting equipment are scheduled to be completed by July 15. The length and width of the runway remained the same (3735 and 60 m, respectively), the coating is fully replaced by the concrete. The average service life of this coating is twenty years.

"Upon completion, the Ufa Airport will have modern, advanced technological capabilities of the airfield. Modernization will allow increasing efficiency of the aerodrome facilities and improving the airport capacity for the next 15-20 years", said the General Director of the Ufa aviation hub Alexander Andreev.

The Ufa Airport press service reminds that the second reconstructed runway will provide an opportunity to accommodate all types of aircrafts, including Boeing-747, Boeing-777, Ruslan, Airbus-330, with no limit on the number of takeoffs and landings.
