"Art Park" volunteer project won "Ecopryanik"

UFA, 14 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. The "School of Environmental Responsibility" project won the "Ecopryanik" award. Recall that the volunteer movement was launched in the framework of the concept development of the urban space transformation "Art Park". As the press-secretary of the Centre of Contemporary Art "Oblaka" Daria Malina informs, the project won the prize in the "Ecostartup" nomination.

The "Ecopryanik" public prize awarding was held in the framework of the International Environmental Forum. The prize is awarded for the contribution to the formation of environmental culture of the population. The main criterion for selection is a functional outcome to improve the environmental situation in the republic and in the country.

The purpose of the "School of Environmental Responsibility" creation was making maps of trees located in the territory of Kalinin Park in Ufa. For six weeks volunteers managed to record 14 thousand trees. To implement the planned a special website has been created. Also the rating of volunteers in number of trees recorded is compiled online. Everyone can become a participant of the volunteer movement - just through registering on the website.
