Early detection of pediatric oncology project starts in Bashkiria on Children's Day

On June 1, the International Children's Day, the Charitable Foundation for Seriously Ill Children "Bez Poter’" with the support of the Republican Children's Hospital launches the "Prevention and early diagnosis of cancer and hematological diseases in children and adolescents" socially significant project. The project is the winner of the regional stage of the 6th All-Russian festival of social programs "SoDeistvie" - as a startup in the "Health Care Development" nomination.

Booklets and posters on preventive measures and methods of early cancer detection will be distributed in the children's medical institutions of the republic. A video about the cancer symptoms and recommendations if they are detected will be broadcast on the Internet and on local TV. The developer of the methodical material is Vladimir Makhonin, the pediatric oncologist, Honoured Doctor RB. It is planned to regularly publish news about preventive measures and methods of early cancer detection, as well as to answer questions of visitors in the section of the project on the website of the "Bez Poter’" Foundation.
