State Committee for Tourism told about preferences of Chinese tourists

UFA, 30 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The State Committee for Entrepreneurship and Tourism RB told about preferences of Chinese tourists. As department deputy head Roman Shaikhutdinov said during a roundtable on domestic tourism China citizens were satisfied with local nature and state of environment in our republic. Among their suggestions for improving the tourism products and services were shopping trips and provision of their usual household items and national cuisine.

"It turned out that Chinese tourists spend up to 30 percent of their time on shopping, buying on average for 2.5 thousand dollars", said the deputy head of the Committee. In the city only one hotel has received a China Friendly Certificate - the "Azimuth" hotel. This allowed the Ufa hotel to post its details on the platforms of the largest tour operators in China. The China Friendly Certificate means that the hotel provides visitors with information in the Chinese language, among the staff there is personnel speaking Chinese, rooms have tea brewing sets, national dishes are provided in the menu.

However, 95 percent of visiting Russia Chinese tourists usually go to Moscow or St. Petersburg. Only five percent of the tourist flow is left for the rest of the country.
