Ufa will host the second International Marathon

UFA, 27 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. On September 11, 2016 Ufa will host the "Ufa International Marathon" (UMM) for the second time. It is expected that it will be attended by about five thousand athletes from 15 countries and 150 cities in the world. It will include four distances - the classic 42.2 km, 21.1 km, 10 km and 2 km. All of them will be held at the historical part of the capital.

Currently, a registration is open for the marathon.

The Ufa International Marathon is among five most popular in Russia. The first UMM was held on September 27, 2015. It was attended by several thousand athletes from Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk, St. Petersburg, as well as from China, Ukraine, Belarus, the United States. The first place went to the world-class athlete Eduard Tuhvatullin, who covered the distance in 2 hours 28 minutes.
