International students will compete in Futsal Championship in Ufa

UFA, 23 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. On May 24-25, Ufa will host the Futsal World Cup. The tournament with participation of foreign university students in Ufa will be organized on the open arenas of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU). Among the players there are teams of Angola, Vietnam, Arab countries, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Africa team, as well as teams of foreign students of Bashkortostan State Pedagogical University, Bashkortostan State Medical University, Ufa State Aviation University, Bashkir State University and Ufa Legal Institute of the Ministry of Interior. The event, according to preliminary data, will be attended by about 700 international students from over 30 countries, reported the press-centre of the university.

The goal of the tournament, which this year will be held for the eighth time, is social adaptation of foreign students, strengthening of friendly relations between them. At various times teams of Vietnam, South Africa, Africa, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan became champions.

Ufa State Petroleum Technological University was founded in 1948, the number of graduates is above 85 thousand. Currently, the total number of students is 18 thousand. Over 30 years the university prepares specialists for foreign countries, during which diplomas were awarded to about one thousand foreign nationals. Today 1,020 foreign students from 55 countries study at USPTU.
