Bashkir Wikipedia volunteers outlined plans for the summer

UFA, 23 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alik Shakirov /. On Friday, May 20, a regular monthly meeting of the Bashkir Wikipedia volunteers was held, where a strategic plan and a plan of specific activities for the second half of the year were discussed.

Bashkir Wiki volunteers take part in the International Competition for writing articles Wikimedia CEE Spring 2016, which involved 30 volunteers from the language sections of the virtual encyclopedia from Central and Eastern Europe. "Bashkir editors exhibit good activity, although they participate in the European competition for the first time. They have created more than 200 new articles, the volunteers of other language sections have written 124 articles about Bashkortostan", said the manager of the Bashkir Wikipedia Rustam Nuryev. The competition ends on May 31, after which the results will be announced.

At the end of June, the representative of Bashkortostan Wiki media will take part in a world conference of volunteers "Wikimania 2016", which will be held in the Italian town of Ezino Lario in Lambordiya region.

In late August, two representatives of the Bashkir Wikipedia will take part in the annual meeting of Wikipedia volunteers in Central and Eastern Europe, which will be held in Yerevan.
