5390 pupils will take Unified State Exam in Ufa in 2016

UFA, 17 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. In Ufa 5390 pupils will take Unified State Exam in 2016. They are graduates of the current year and of previous years, as well as students of secondary vocational institutions. This was reported at a working meeting by the head of the Education Department of City Administration Elena Haffazova on May 17.

According to her, the selection of subjects is traditional at the main stage, but greater interest is shown to the exact sciences. 76.2 percent of examinees (4105 people) chose to take exam in math (specialized level), 53.9 percent (2904) – in social studies, physics is on the third place (35.7 percent or 1,923 people), history is on the fourth (22,3, or 1202).

"The examinations in the Russian language and mathematics are mandatory for receiving school-leaving certificates. Pupils take exams in other subjects electively. Minimum scores of the exams for admission to universities are maintained at the level of the previous year,” the head of the department informed. “For the second academic year in a row graduates write a final essay, the result of which is a precondition to admission to the state final examination. Learners with disabilities have an opportunity to write a written reproduction".

As previously reported the traditional "Farewell Bells" will take place in all educational institutions on May 21. After celebratory assemblies school graduates will take part in a citywide event "Spring Ball". Proms and awarding of certificates will be held at schools on June 25.
