Igor Shchegolev and Rustem Khamitov delivered reports at "PROF-IT.2016" in Ufa

On May 16, the Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Igor Shchegolev and the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov delivered reports at the plenary session of the All-Russian Forum of regional and municipal information technology "PROF-IT.2016" at the Ufa Congress Hall.

According to the Russian President's Assistant, solution of import substitution problem will not only provide economic security, but also give an impetus to the whole Russian economy.

The Head of Bashkortostan spoke about the republican achievements in this field. So, in three years the number of users of e-government services has increased from 500 thousand to 2.5 million people. In schools and universities e-learning programs are actively introduced. The "Open Republic" project successfully operates.

The All-Russian annual competition of regional information projects "PROF-IT" is held for the fourth time. It is one of the largest events in the field of information technology in Russia.

In 2016 Ufa was given the right to host the final of the contest. Here it is held in the new format of the All-Russian forum of regional and municipal information technology. The forum will discuss the application of information technology in education and transport, software import substitution in governmental bodies.
