Bashkortostan Ecology Ministry has estimated Kronospan factory impact on air quality in residential areas

UFA, 16 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Bashkortostan continued environmental monitoring of atmospheric air on the border of the sanitary protection zone of "Kronospan Bashkortostan" LLC.
From August 2015 to the March 2016 a study has been conducted to assess the impact of the enterprise. Total 48 scheduled and unscheduled inspections were held to assess the air condition in the residential area of nearby settlements - Knyazevo, Dorogino, Svetlaya villages, Shaksha district of Ufa.
The Directorate of State Analytical Control conducted 21 air sample collections during operation or idle modes of the enterprise. The samples were examined for the content of ammonia, sulfur dioxide, formaldehyde, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, dust (suspended solids).
Following the results of the study the exceedance in emission of substances characteristic for "Kronospan Bashkortostan" was not revealed. The environmental monitoring of atmospheric air on the border of the sanitary protection zone will be continued.
