Mortality rate decreased by eight percent in Bashkiria in the first quarter of 2016

UFA, 11 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. In Bashkortostan, the mortality rate has decreased by eight percent in the first quarter of 2016. The health minister Anvar Bakirov told about the demographic indicators of the republic at a meeting with the heads of medical organizations.

Total 13 158 people died in the region for three months of this year, which is by 990 less than for the same period of the last year. 13 610 children were born, by 437 less than in the first quarter of 2015. The natural increase was 452 people.

The Ministry of Health RB also reported that the infant mortality rate fell by 20 percent in the region and amounted to 5.7 per thousand, which is eight percent below the national average.
