Bashkir Paralympic swimmers won medals at IPC Swimming European Championships

UFA, 11 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. In the Portuguese town of Funchal IPC swimming European Open Championships took place. About 450 athletes from 52 countries participated in the tournament. The Russian team included five representatives of our republic: Anna Krivshina, Mikhail Zimin, Alexander Nevolin-Svetov, Arthur Saifutdinov and Bogdan Mozgovoi.
At the end of six days of competitions Anna Krivshina became a champion in 100 m backstroke and a silver winner in 50 m freestyle distances. Her colleague Arthur Saifutdinov won bronze in 100 m breaststroke.
The Russian team ranked second (30-31-25) in the medal count. The national team of Ukraine (37-36-25) was on the first place, the UK - took the third (20-14-12), the Regional Office of All-Russian public organization "Russian Paralympic Committee" in RB reports.
The tournament was held under the auspices of the International Paralympic Committee, and was the final round in the series of qualifying events for the Summer Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.
