About 10 thousand people will take part in Ufa Day of 1000 Cyclists

UFA, 11 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. About 10 thousand people will take part in the Day of 1000 Cyclists festival in Ufa. The Russia's largest urban cycling marathon will be held on May 22. It will be carried out for the sixth time in the capital of our republic.

According to the organizers all interested people regardless of age can take part in the festival. The event consists of two parts: a mass bike ride across the city and a cultural and entertainment program. Participants will start at 12.00 from Lenin Square, the registration begins at 11.00.

According to the chairman of the Bashkortostan Union of Cyclists Rail Gabdullin, this year the emphasis is made on a festival component. Games, a comprehensive program for children, creative workshops, competitions, local food festival, a tourist cycle route around the city, bands concert are prepared for the participants and visitors after the finish.

As previously reported, on this day the traffic will be closed during the festival. The corresponding schedule approved by the City Hall is available on the official website.
