Victory Day will end with fireworks in Ufa

UFA, 6 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. In Ufa Victory Day will end with fireworks. The main events will be held in Lenin Square on May 9. In Victory Park a traditional ceremony of laying flowers to the Eternal Flame and home front workers memorial with participation of officers and the brass band of the military commissariat RB, Ufa Cadet boarding school will begin at 10.00.

Members of the nationwide civil-patriotic campaign "Immortal Regiment" will march along October Avenue at 11:00. Thousands of Ufa residents and visitors, school children, soldiers-internationalists, Chernobyl liquidators, athletes will carry portraits of their relatives who fought in the Great Patriotic War. In Ufa the memory event is held for the third consecutive year. In 2016, it is expected to be attended by about 15 thousand people.

A concert program with participation of the brass band of the City Palace of Culture, the folk ensemble "Miras", as well as the amateur vocal and choreographic teams of the city will begin at 19.00. The day will end with solemn Victory fireworks at 22.30.
