Delegation of the International Children's Games Committee examines Ufa sports facilities

The delegation of the International Children's Games Committee examines the sports facilities of Ufa, where it is planned to hold the Summer Games 2019. To this end, the president of the Committee of the International Children's Games Torsten Rasch and Secretary General of the Committee Richard Smith arrived in the capital of our republic, the press service of the City Hall reports.

The list of sports facilities includes the "Neftyanik" stadium, "Dynamo" sports complex, "Kashkadan" recreation park, sports school No.32, the Palace of Sports, «Zorge Fitness» fitness club.

"We see Ufa as a candidate to host the Summer International Children's Games in 2019. The exact location of the event will be announced in Taipei, where in 2016 the jubilee 50th Summer International Children's Games will be held", Torsten Rasch marked.

Tentatively, the program of the International Children's Games 2019 will include athletics, football, swimming, beach volleyball, basketball (3x3), judo, tennis, rock climbing and fencing.

The City Hall representatives recalled that in 2013 in Ufa the International Children's Games were held at four main venues: "Ufa-Arena", the Palace of Sports, "Olympic Park" and "Biathlon" sports complex. The program of 6th International Children's Winter Games had seven sports. About 800 young athletes from 30 Russian cities and 30 cities of 20 countries took part in the competitions.
