Valentina Matvienko and Rustem Khamitov visited PJSC UMPO

UFA, 19 April 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. On April 18, the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matvienko and the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov familiarized with the activity of PJSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association".

UMPO is a parent company "Engines for Combat Aircraft" Division in the "United Engine Building Corporation". It develops, manufactures and services aircraft turbojet engines, components of helicopter engines, gas-compressor units, products of gas turbine power sector. More than half of the manufactured products are exported.

Valentina Matvienko and Rustem Khamitov visited Aviation Technology Technopark initiated by PJSC UMPO and Ufa State Aviation Technical University.

The Speaker of the upper house of the Russian parliament and the Head of the Republic visited the laboratory of advanced developments, the ion implantation and plasma nanotechnology centre, educational and technical centre and the prototyping centre. They visited the engineering and production facilities, where diffusion welding technology and superplastic moulding technology of large hollow vanes of engines to civil aviation have been demonstrated.

During his visit to UMPO Valentina Matviyenko spoke with employees of the enterprise, asked about their working conditions, wages, housing issues.
