Flood peak is forecast in Bashkortostan at the weekend

In Bashkortostan, increase of levels of rivers, tributaries to the ponds and reservoirs in connection with the established warm weather is expected next weekend. This was stated by the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic Ildar Hadyev at a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on emerging pre-flood meteorological conditions.

According to the Bashkir Met Office, a steady warm weather will remain in the region until April 18. To date, an active phase of meltwater passing is observed in the south and northeast of the republic, areas of Trans-Urals. The first peak is almost gone in the central part of the region. In the mountain forest zone the snow cover still exists, so the peaks of spring floods are forthcoming.
