Ufa is excluded from the list of cities with the most polluted air

UFA, 30 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Ufa is excluded from the list of cities with the most polluted air, the press service of the Ministry of Ecology of Bashkortostan informs. This rating compiled by Rosstat according to Roshydromet data, appeared in the media in February of this year. The top three included the cities of Chita, Ulan-Ude and Magnitogorsk. Ufa won the sixth place with a 15-fold excess of ethylbenzene. It was noted that the peak value was recorded only once.

The Ministry of Ecology RB did not agree with the results and applied to Roshydromet regarding the appropriateness of Ufa’s inclusion in the rating of cities with polluted atmosphere. As a result, Roshydromet recommended Rosstat excluding the capital of Bashkortostan from this list.
