Ufa Petroleum University and Mining University of Austria expand the scope of cooperation

UFA, 21 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) and Austrian University of Mining expand areas of cooperation. Issues of further cooperation of the two partner universities were discussed during the official visit to the Austrian university of the USPTU Rector Ramil Bakhtizin and the head of the oil and gas transport and storage department, Professor Boris Mastobaev.

The Mining University of Austria is well known in Russia and abroad. It is the only educational and scientific centre in Austria preparing experts in the field of mining and metallurgy.

During the meeting with the rector of Leoben University issues of further cooperation in scientific and educational fields were discussed, in particular, a joint participation in the competition for the grant RFBR - Austrian Science Foundation and other projects. The Rector of Leoben University said that he planned to take part in an international conference in autumn of this year at USPTU.

Professors Herbert Hofshtatter (Leoben University) and Boris Mastobaev (USPTU) delivered lectures within the framework of the academic exchange. Currently several students from Austria are undergoing a semester training at Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, the press-centre of USPTU reports.
