Most Russians cut costs and save money for the future - VCIOM

UFA, 21 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. Most Russians cut costs and save money for the future. This is evidenced by the data of a poll conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Centre (VCIOM).
There is a negative trend of increasing the share of those who consider the present period as unfavourable for large purchases - from 64 percent in January to 72 percent in February. Also, the vast majority of respondents (87 percent) believe that currently it is unreasonable to take loans from the banks. In the previous years, the Russians were more optimistic regarding credit taking.
Researchers note that the confidence in the banks remains at a fairly low level. Only 34 percent of Russians feel the need to deposit free money in a bank (in January 2016 - 33 percent), while the number of people wishing to withdraw money amounts to 43 percent. In February, 25 percent advised to spend the daily income on a maximum (in January - 28). 65 percent of respondents consider expedient to reduce costs saving money for the future.
