Gagarin Cup 2016: HC Salavat Yulaev managed to win a starting match of eastern semi-final in Omsk

UFA, 9 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. The first semi-final match in the Eastern Conference of Gagarin Cup 2016 was held in Omsk. The local HC Avangard lost to HC Salavat Yulaev (Ufa) during overtime - 2: 3.

The home team twice led in the score (1: 0 in the first period, and 2: 1 in the third), but the Ufa twice caught up. Maxim Mayorov and Linus Umark scored the goals during the regular time as part of the Ufa team.

On the 13th minute of overtime Sergei Soin overplayed Omsk defenders and finished the match with an accurate throw - 3: 2.

The score in the series became 1:0 in favour of Salavat Yulaev. The second match will be also held on the arena of Omsk on March 10.
