This February in Bashkiria was the warmest in the last 80 years – Bashkir Met Office

UFA, 3 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency,Gulfiya Akulova/. Winter 2015-2016 was one of the warmest in the last decade. Forecasters of the republican Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring state that such record warm February as the present one, was not registered since 1937 in the territory of Bashkortostan. The temperature anomaly was 9.3 degrees Celsius. Close to these values the weather was only in February 2002 - deviation from the norm was 9 degrees.

The highest monthly deviations were observed at meteorological stations in Yanaul, Arkhangelsk, Ulu Telyak, Mrakovo, Sterlitamak, Meleuz. All three decades of February was abnormally warm.

In Ufa, the absolute temperature highs were reached four times in February. On February 2, the air temperature was +2.1 degrees. On February 3, values of 0.9 degrees, on February 4, +2 were registered. On February 25, the air temperature reached the maximum of 7.2 degrees.
