Portal of civil initiatives on city life improvement is created in Ufa

UFA, 1 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. With the new online portal Ufa residents can put forward initiatives, which, in their opinion, will improve life in their city. Initiatives may relate to any spheres of the city life: housing issues, transport, social infrastructure, environment, communities.

The offers can be placed on an interactive map with reference to a specific location. Photos can be attached to them. Users can vote for other people's initiatives and disseminate information about them in social networks. It is also possible to submit a petition and collect signatures through the site.

Now the site hosts more than 30 initiatives. Ufa residents offer to build more playgrounds, pay attention to the repair of schools, establishing traffic lights, making beautiful lighting of the tunnel at the entrance to Sipaylovo residential district, combining the railway station and the river port by extending a covered walkway. Citizens complain for the state of roads, location of pubs near residential houses, illegal parking.

When reaching the threshold of 1,000 votes an initiative or petition will be submitted to the management of the city. This does not mean that the initiatives failed to reach this threshold will not be considered. Each proposal will be examined, the Fund of Urban Development Projects informs.
