Five draughts players from Bashkiria will participate in World Mind Sports Games in China

UFA, 24 February 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. Five draughts players from Bashkortostan went to the World Mind Sports Games of the International Mind Sports Association (IMSA). The competition in five types of intellectual sports (bridge, go, xiangqi, chess, draughts) will be held from 25 February to 3 March in Huaian (China).

The competitive draughts program consists of three disciplines: rapid (February 26-27), blitz (February 28-29) and super blitz (March 1-3). 24 men and 20 women will compete for gold in the most prestigious competitions in the mind sports.

All five participants from Bashkortostan are members of the Bashneft draughts club. According to the Federation of International draughts three newcomers joined the multiple winner of "elite division" - nine time world champion Alexander Georgiev (five medals, including three gold) and five-time world champion Tamara Tansykkuzhina (six medals, including one of the higher grade). These are Murodullo Amrillaev, Ainur Shaibakov and Aigul Idrisova.
