It was managed to avoid a sharp rise in unemployment in Ufa

UFA, 20 February 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. In Ufa in 2015 it was managed to keep unemployment at the level of 1.25 percent of the economically active population. Sharp growth was avoided due to participation in the "Additional measures to reduce tensions in the labour market of Bashkortostan Republic" program. Meanwhile, during the crisis of 2009 the rate was almost twice higher. This was reported at a meeting of city council by the head of Ufa city administration Irek Yalalov.

According to the forecast of socio-economic development of the city, approved by deputies of the Ufa City Council, it is assumed that in the coming years the number of unemployed will be slightly less than now. Thus, in 2016 according to the base-case scenario, unemployment is projected at 1.2 percent, in 2017 - at 1.15 percent, in 2018 - at 1.12 percent.
