Eurasian Workout Festival will be held in Bashkortostan

UFA, 20 February 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. In 2016 it is planned to hold the Eurasian Workout Festival in Bashkortostan. The resident of Ufa, postgraduate student of Ufa Science Centre RAS Almaz Gataullin informed about it the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov during his meetings with citizens.

He appealed to the Head of the Republic with a request to assist the sports youth movement "Workout of Bashkortostan" in the festival holding. The movement aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle was launched in 2012. Over the past three years 10 sports fields were built, 30 events were organized due to its activists in the republic.

The competition program includes a number of exercises in the outdoor sports field. Qualifying rounds of the festival will be held in May in the cities and districts of the republic, and the finale with the participation of athletes from 15 regions of Russia and Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine will be held in Ufa in September. It is planned to put the Russian record in mass pushups.

The Head of the Republic inquired about the cost of a sports field. Almaz Gataullin said that it would amount to about 150-200 thousand rubles.

Rustem Khamitov supported the activists and charged the Prime Minister of the Government RB Rustem Mardanov together with the Deputy Prime Minister Marat Magadeev to study the issue of the movement support.
