Supply of corn and soybeans of US origin is temporarily banned in Bashkiria
UFA, 18 February 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor in Bashkortostan reported introduction of temporary restrictions on import of corn and soybeans of American origin, including through the third countries since February 15, 2016.
According to the press service of the department, such measures have been taken due to systematic violations of international and Russian phytosanitary requirements and failure by the United States to stop shipments to Russia of corn and soybeans infected with quarantine objects.
Restrictions are introduced under the International Convention on Plant Protection and Agreement on Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures.
