HC Salavat Yulaev has the fourth starting place in the playoffs in the East

UFA, 17 February 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. HC Salavat Yulaev (Ufa) lost in the last home game of the eighth season of the Kontinental Hockey League. The team of Igor Zakharkin was defeated by the outsider - Metallurg (Novokuznetsk) - 3: 4.

Having led in the course of the match 3: 1 after a double by Nicholay Prokhorkin and a score by Maxim Mayorov, the Ufa team lost its advantage and gave three valuable points to Siberian players.

In the last match of the "regular season" the Ufa club will play against Neftekhimik (Nizhnekamsk) on February 18. It is already clear that the team reached the playoffs from the fourth place and among the possible opponents in the first round of the playoff series are Admiral (Vladivostok), Ak Bars (Kazan) or Avtomobilist (Yekaterinburg).
