Ufa Petroleum University will receive up to 150 million rubles in 2016

UFA, 12 February 2016. /Bashinform News Agency,Elmira Sabirova/. Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU), including 10 key universities of the country, will receive this year a grant to support its development programs in the sum of 100 to 150 million rubles. This decision was taken at a meeting of the tender commission at the Ministry of Education of Russia, the press service of the federal education department informs.

The university should in a 3-month period present and defend its 5-year development program to receive the subsidy. Subsidies will be allocated in the amount of up to 200 million rubles a year during three years. Subsidies to universities-winners of grants for 2017 and 2018 will be determined by the results of evaluating the effectiveness of development programs implementation for the previous years.

In January it became known that USPTU was among 11 key Russian higher educational institutions. One of the conditions for participation in the program was joining to the university-participant at least one university of its region.

Among the key universities, in addition to Ufa, there is Kostroma Technological, Tyumen Oil and Gas, Siberian Aerospace, Don, Volgograd, Voronezh, Omsk and Samara Technical Universities, as well as Vyatka State University and Orel University named after Turgenev.
