Ufa resident Semen Yelistratov broke world record and won silver medal in Dresden

UFA, 7 February 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. The German city of Dresden hosts the 5th World Short-Track Cup.
The Ufa native Semen Yelistratov, the absolute European champion of 2016, Olympic champion of 2014 in the relay race became a silver medalist at a distance of 1000 m. The first place went to Canadian Charles Hamelin.
It should be marked that in the quarterfinals of the distance Yelistratov set a new world record having run it for 1.22,607.
