Obstetricians and fertility specialists of Bashkiria take part in international congress

UFA, 20 January 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Moscow is hosting the 10th International Congress of Reproductive Medicine, which involved the delegation of experts from the relevant obstetric medical organizations from Bashkortostan.

To participate in the Congress the leading Russian specialists and experts from prestigious universities, clinics, medical centers of Belgium, France, Italy, Israel, USA, Canada, India and other countries were invited. More than 40 experts represent practically all countries of Europe, America and Asia.

According to organizers, the focus of the scientific program will be made on the most pressing issues of reproductive medicine - prevention of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality, care of pregnant women with severe diseases and a high risk of obstetric complications.

In 2015 maternal and child mortality rates significantly reduced in Russia – by 4.5 and three times, respectively. During the first 11 months of the last year, the infant mortality rate was 6.5 per thousand live births, while in 2014 it was 7.4. The maternal mortality rate has reached historic lows - 10.8 per 100 thousand, the Deputy Health Minister RF Tatyana Yakovleva cited the data speaking at the event.
