Number of fires, accidents and injuries decreased in Ufa
UFA, 12 January 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. In Ufa, the number of fires, accidents and injuries of the population at visiting the ice towns decreased. This was reported on January 12 at a daily briefing in the municipality by the head of municipal maintenance department Andrei Fedosov.
From December 31, 2015 to January 10, 2016, 33 emergency shutdowns (by 11 cases less than in the same period of the last year), 21 fires in flats and houses (against 24 cases last year) were recorded. The number of accidents on the highways of the city reduced almost twice - 27 against 46 accidents, by three times decreased the number of injuries - 14 people, including six children, compared to 31 and 18, respectively.
"Serious accidents and emergencies did not occur due to the measures taken to ensure security during the New Year holidays in the capital of Bashkortostan", summed up the work of city services during the holidays Andrei Fedosov.
According to the press service of the Ufa administration, these days the city utility service providers worked in the enhanced mode. 914 units of equipment were involved in cleaning roads; more than 104 thousand cubic metres of snow were removed. 2063 roofs of houses were cleared of snow and icicles.
