Influenza immunization plan is fulfilled 100 percent in Bashkiria

UFA, 17 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. The plan for immunization against influenza is fulfilled 100% in Bashkortostan. According to the press service of the Ministry of Health RB, to date vaccinations against influenza are received by 1.166 million citizens. As part of the national calendar one million people (100% of plan) are vaccinated, including 300 thousand children (100% of plan). Through additional funding more than 166,000 people are vaccinated.

In preparation for the epidemic season of influenza and SARS antiviral drugs, personal protective equipment (respiratory masks) in the amount of 1.2 million pieces are stocked up in Bashkortostan. 808 artificial respirating units and 770 pulse oximeters are available. 5,080 beds in hospitals will be ready to receive patients during epidemic growth, representing 100% of the needs.

In Bashkortostan more than 224 thousand cases of SARS are now registered, in the past week - 19 thousand. The infection rate of the total population is 13.7% below the epidemic threshold. No cases of influenza have been reported.
