Customs transit procedure should be applied for goods transport between Russia and Armenia - Bashkortostan Customs

UFA, 16 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Sergey Zakharov/. Transportation of goods between Russia and Armenia is carried out with the use of customs transit. According to the customs office of Bashkortostan, this procedure is applied in connection with the accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. The document was signed in Minsk on October 10, 2014.

The transit declaration is presented in the region where the goods are sent, or where its loading is done.

According to the Customs Service, in September-November of this year, 280 consignments were subject to the procedure of customs transit, which is 23% of the total consignments transported from the territory of the Volga Federal District to Armenia. It was drawn up 1176 transit declarations.

The Bashkortostan Customs representatives mark that the placement of goods under the customs transit procedure in place of their departure creates preconditions for increasing the terms of customs operations at the checkpoint. To avoid this, the goods should be registered in the customs bodies of the Volga region.
