Moscow has become the most popular city for New Year holidays among Ufa townspeople, according to momondo metasearch experts, who analyzed about 140 thousand flights searches from Russia, including from Ufa, for the period from December 28, 2015 by January 10, 2016.
According to statistics, the top 10 popular cities among Ufa residents for domestic destinations also include St. Petersburg, Sochi and Simferopol - on the second, third and seventh positions.
From European destinations Ufa residents select budget-friendly Prague, more expensive Berlin and Milan, as well as cozy Munich and Vienna. They occupy the fifth, sixth, eighth, ninth and tenth places. Istanbul stands on the fourth position.
Russia leads in the Ufa Top 10 popular countries for the coming New Year holidays. Turkey is on the second place - (analysis was conducted in late November 2015 - before sanctions imposed on the country).
According to the survey, the top ten preferences include also Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Spain and Austria. They are placed on the third, fourth, sixth and tenth lines. The popularity of these destinations during the winter season is due to the fact that there you can enjoy sightseeing, as well as skiing and visiting the Christmas markets in major town squares.
Thailand occupies the fifth position. It is consistently a popular destination for winter holidays. Apart from it, India and the United Arab Emirates (the seventh and ninth positions) entered the Ufa Top 10.
All of the above areas are also represented in the Top 10 popular among Russians countries, as well as the United States and France, which were not included in the Ufa list. Instead, the inhabitants of the Bashkir capital are interested in the UAE and Austria. Bangkok occupies the leading position in the Top 10 popular among Russians cities for New Year's holidays.
According to momondo, so far the number of requests from Ufa to international destinations for New Year's is slightly higher than for the Russian routes: 58% vs. 42%. In Russia as a whole, the ratio is 81% and 19%, respectively.
The Ufa "Kreks" tourist company informs that now citizens of the republic purchase trips mostly for domestic routes, in particular, over Bashkortostan. In particular, the tourist route to the residence of Grand Farther Frost at Mount Toratau is quite popular.
