New aircraft for regional aviation based on Il-114 will appear in 2019 - Mikhail Babich

UFA, 2 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. New domestic aircraft for regional aviation based on the Il-114 will appear in the fleet of the Russian airlines already by 2019. This was announced by the Russian Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich at the traditional meeting with the chief editors of the Volga district media.

According to the project, it will be created a new version of the engine, which in the future will be used on other types of domestic aircrafts. This is made within the framework of the import substitution policy. The regional aircraft will be assembled from domestic components to be produced including in Ufa. Mikhail Babich confirmed that industrial cooperation involved several aircraft construction enterprises of the district.
