Bashkortostan hosts interesting scientific films festival

UFA, 24 November 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. In Bashkortostan, the festival of interesting scientific film starts. From November 25 for three consecutive days documentary films about scientists, discoveries and scientific world will be shown at Bashkir State University.
Six films on a variety of topics will be screened. The program includes both recognized Russian and foreign hits - "The Passion for Particles" (2013) by Mark Levinson, "Planet" (2015) by Guy Reid, "To The Infinity" (2010) by Michael Madsen, and Russian films, specially selected for the student audience - "Sensual Mathematics" (2012) by Catherine Eremenko, "Wonders of Russia" (2011, TV channel "My Planet" and the Russian Geographical Society), "Shulgan-Tash" (2012, TV channel "Russia-1"), explained in the press –centre of the university.
Admission is free.
Days of scientific films is a project organized by the festival of contemporary scientific films, which this year was supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Willingness to participate in the project was confirmed by more than 20 universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Kazan, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Samara and other cities. Interest in the science films was shown not only by universities, but also schools, research institutes and libraries. Total 114 participants from 63 cities were selected.
